2022 Kitchen Trends

This year, we have been introduced to a lot of new aesthetic trends in kitchen design. We have veered away from all white kitchens with cool grey accents and have been seeing a lot more warmer tones show up. Organic materials, earthy cabinet colours, and more design forward backsplashes are all being introduced.

But fear not white cabinetry lovers! White is still a classic option, however we are definitely seeing more warmer white tones replace the cooler crisp options that were so prevalent in cabinetry colours over the past few years.

Is brown back?! You bet it is, but in a more refined way. For example, oak wood in light - mid tones are becoming very popular again. It is being paired with bold and high contrast solid colours to elevate the design.

Old is also being mixed with new. Vintage pieces such as lighting, chairs, art and much more, will be mixed with modern day colours and materials. This allows designers and homeowners to be more creative and create cozier and warmer spaces.

Natural colours and elements are not going anywhere this year. The environment has played a huge roll in inspiring interior design trends over the past few years, and what better way to incorporate it into your space, than with earthy cabinet colours and materials in your kitchen. After spending the last two years cooped up inside our homes, we all need a way to bring a touch of the outdoors in!

Tile backsplashes are also being replaced with quartz countertops installed vertically to create a seamless look and add a touch of drama to the space.
