The Thankful Tree

I don't really spend the time to decorate for Thanksgiving, but I've seen a few of these Thankful Trees around on Pinterest, and I really thought they were special and worth putting the effort in. So I decided to use the branches leftover from my Halloween decorations and create my own Thankful Tree.

It was so easy and probably only took me a total of 30 minutes. I just stuck the branches in the vase (from Willow House) and used my Cricut machine to cut out some leaf patterns on printed craft paper. I punched holes in the leaves, tied then with some ribbon and I was done!

The dry erase board is also from Willow House.

With this tree, everyone can get involved!
When I asked my 4 year old son what he was thankful for, this is what he came up with! He's really big into dinosaurs right now:)

I love the idea of taking the time before the craziness of the holidays and reflecting on what you are Thankful for. Just spending a minute a day to think of something to put on the tree....

...helps to remind me of the more important thing in life.

Do you have any special traditions to show your thanks?

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday.
