Welcome new readers!! Lets get to know each other....a fun game and a giveaway!

First of all, I just wanted to give all my new readers that visited this little 'ol blog after my Young House Love feature a warm welcome and a big THANK-YOU for sticking around! It has truly been a delight reading all of your wonderful, sweet and encouraging comments and I'm truly grateful you are here!

And to my readers that have been here with me all along.....I love you guys! Your comments and emails are what drives me to keep on going. SO to honor ALL my followers...I have a super fun giveaway that may or may not involve these two.

In my YHL feature, John & Sherry shared a little tidbit of when we met at their very first book signing here in Cincinnati last year. To refresh your memory, or read the entire story, click here

To quickly recap, their first book signing took place before their book was even released. They were gong to have copies on hand at the signing to purchase before the release. My plan was to get there and get 2 copies signed...one for me and one for you. BUT I didn't anticipate them selling out of their books within the first 5 minutes. Since they are so incredibly awesome, they stuck around for hours after they were scheduled to leave (I waited for about 2 hours before the line died down enough to stand in it with my boys!) and signed book plates for their fans to stick in their books  when they were available for sale to the general public.

When I finally received my copy of the book, I proudly stuck my signed book plate inside the front cover, and then tucked an extra one I had John & Sherry sign for YOU into my desk drawer to run a giveaway closer to Christmas. Then I lost it.  POOF!! Disappeared. (Things in this house have an uncanny knack for suddenly disappearing. I asked the boys if they had it and they said the dog ate it. Which totally could of happened.)

Then a miraculous thing happened. A couple of months ago, my computer died. And I had to get a new one. When our new iMac arrived, I pulled apart my entire desk to install the computer, and guess what I found stuck in the back of the desk under all the mass of cords!!

Yup. Thats right.

After doing the happy dance, I placed it very carefully in a top secret location where NO DOG or CHILD has access to and decided to hang on to it and go back to my original plan of holding a holiday giveaway. But then the Young House Love feature went live, so I thought to myself, "what a better time than now?!"

To honor ALL my followers and welcome my newest ones, I will be giving away a SIGNED COPY of Young House Love. This giveaway is only open to those of you who subscribe to my blog or follow me on social media somehow. And in an effort to get to know each other a little better, we are going to play a fun game!! Here's the rules:

  • This giveaway will be open to all US readers AND my Canadian readers (because I love you guys and I know that giveaways are usually never available to you)
  • Becasue this giveaway is going international, I will ship the winner his/her book from Amazon or Amazon.ca and personally mail you the signed book plate to stick in your book. (It's just easier this way than dealing with customs and shipping for my Canadians;)
  • Giveaway will run until Monday, November 4th at midnight. A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Tuesday November 5th.

Here's how to enter!

Lets get to know each other!! Leave me a comment telling us something about yourself that we might not know. The sillier or more embarrasing the better!! Then tell me how you follow me in the same comment. You can leave one comment for every way you follow my blog! You can enter up to 7 times!! If you write a blog yourself, leave the link to your homepage so I can come over and visit. (Make sure you also go through the comments and visit each other! I have discovered some AMAZING blogs this way!)

To get this party started, I'll share 3 things that you may not know about me. (Although if you follow me on Instagram, you might already know!)

  1. I bear an uncanny resemblance to Mary Katherine Gallagher and I proved it this past weekend at a Halloween party. (Some of my friends even used to call me 'Superstar'!)

  2.  I have an unhealthy obsession with Bravo TV, especially when it comes to The Real Housewives.

  3.  My Uncle nicknamed me Olive Oil when I was younger because I was tall and lanky and had THE BIGGEST feet (still do). No 4th grader should be wearing a size 9 women's shoe before she   even has a training bra.

Now it's your turn!! GO!
